In the two-day assertiveness training Cool Boys – Strong Guys, boys in grades 1 and 2 in Aschaffenburg discover their own strengths. This child-friendly family offer combines movement, role-playing, and concrete everyday situations into a valuable learning experience around self-confidence, boundaries, and non-violent conflict resolution.
Practicing Everyday Situations in an Understandable and Age-Appropriate Manner
The training developed by VAuST addresses situations from children's lives: teasing, threats, taking away objects, or provocative behavior. The boys learn to recognize violent situations early, respond calmly, and stay out of difficult situations. Understandable language, active participation, and a safe environment are at the center of this training.
Self-Confidence Instead of Counter-Violence
An important focus is on de-escalating behavior. Participants practice recognizing their own boundaries, saying no clearly, seeking help, and resolving conflicts without violence. Smart behavior in a threatening situation is also part of the training. Thus, a pedagogically valuable learning experience is created that strengthens boys in their social development.
Learning Together, Acting Boldly
Role-playing and practical exercises make the content tangible. The children actively engage with their body language, voice, and behavior. This strengthens self-perception, promotes a sense of responsibility, and conveys safety in dealing with others. Experienced Professionals and a Safe Environment
The concept comes from VAuST. The course leader Hajo Köppen is, according to the organizer, a qualified educator, systemic consultant, and therapist, parent course leader, as well as experiential educator. The training follows an educational concept and is aimed at boys of primary school age. Voluntariness, respectful interaction, and age-appropriate exercises form the foundation.
Dates and Registration
The course will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, and Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM each day at the VHS Südbahnhof in Aschaffenburg. The participation fee is 73 euros. Registration by November 7, 2026, is required. The places are limited.
