Technical University of Aschaffenburg | Degree Programs & Application
The Technical University of Aschaffenburg is a state university of applied sciences with a clear practical focus, personal support, and a location profile that extends far beyond the region. On the university's website, TH AB describes itself as founded in 1995; at the same time, the university currently has over 4,000 students, while an official factsheet for the winter semester 2024/25 lists 3,750 students, 116 professors, 290 staff members, and 29 degree programs across three faculties. Thus, TH Aschaffenburg combines a manageable size with a wide range of offerings, short distances, and an environment where many inquiries regarding degree programs, applications, libraries, master's programs, Miltenberg, and student offices receive concrete answers. The campus in Aschaffenburg is designed as a central meeting place and is complemented by the learning location in Miltenberg, making the university particularly interesting for many prospective students. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/ueber-die-th-ab?utm_source=openai))
Degree Programs and Master's Studies at TH Aschaffenburg
The study model of TH Aschaffenburg is clearly structured: All bachelor's degree programs last seven semesters and include a practical semester in a company. After completing the bachelor's degree, students can obtain a master's degree in three additional semesters, depending on their suitability and interest. This clear logic makes the university attractive for people who want to enter practice early but also have an academic deepening in mind. TH AB categorizes its offerings into three faculties: Health and Social Sciences, Engineering and Computer Science, and Business and Law. On the study pages and in the official study overview, it becomes clear that the university offers both classic business and technical subjects as well as new disciplines and interdisciplinary profiles. Therefore, those looking for a clear but modern study location will find an offering here that combines employability, scientific grounding, and regional proximity. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/vor-dem-studium/studiengaenge-von-a-z/tabelle/))
Particularly interesting is the master's landscape at TH Aschaffenburg. The master's program in International Management is aimed at graduates of business-related subjects and is taught entirely in English, including exams. Additionally, there are international summer schools held in collaboration with Seinäjoki in Finland, Shanghai in China, and Missouri in the USA. A double-degree model with Seinäjoki or Lille is also planned. The university describes the program as a learning environment with small groups and modern facilities, making it an offering for people who want to combine international practice, management skills, and academic depth. The other master's programs also align with this profile: TH AB focuses on three semesters of regular study time and on a deepening, specialization, or expansion of existing knowledge. For inquiries regarding master's programs, international management, and university of applied sciences, this is a very concrete and practical answer. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/vor-dem-studium/studiengaenge-von-a-z/international-management-master))
Application, Admission, and Student Office
The application to TH Aschaffenburg is done digitally via the CampusPortal. There, documents are uploaded, the application status is tracked, and later the online enrollment is also carried out. For restricted admission bachelor's programs, initial registration at hochschulstart.de is also required. According to the university's website, this applies to the programs Physician Assistant, Social Work, and Business Psychology. For many other offerings, the application is unrestricted, but for master's programs and higher semesters, the university checks additional qualification or admission requirements. This is important for prospective students because it shows: Not every application follows the same path, and especially for inquiries regarding master's programs, applications, and student offices, it is worthwhile to take a close look at the respective program page and the university's checklist. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/bewerben))
The deadlines are also clearly structured. For the winter semester, TH Aschaffenburg specifies the period from May 2 to August 15 for most full-time bachelor's programs. Physician Assistant, Social Work, and Business Psychology end already on July 15. International Management has separate deadlines: For German and EU applicants, the deadline is until July 15, for non-EU applicants until May 15. For the summer semester, entry is mainly possible for higher semesters or master's programs. The university also points out that documents must be submitted digitally, that a digital passport photo and health insurance certificate are required for enrollment, and that a student union fee of 70 euros must be paid. Those searching for applications or student offices will also find the contact details studienbewerbung@th-ab.de and the phone number 06021/4206-351 on the checklist. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/bewerben))
This clear digital structure is an advantage for user experience. The university not only shows in its application information how to apply but also what to pay attention to in the portal: status messages, submissions, admission offers, and subsequent enrollment are clearly described. At the same time, the bachelor's programs at TH AB are fundamentally oriented towards the winter semester, which facilitates planning. Therefore, those interested in a study place should not only pay attention to the desired title but also to the deadline, admission type, and whether a higher semester or a specific procedure like hochschulstart is relevant. This precise orientation makes TH Aschaffenburg particularly relevant for inquiries regarding applications, student offices, and master's programs. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/bewerben))
Business Psychology, Social Work, and Physician Assistant
In the frequently searched fields, TH Aschaffenburg stands out clearly. The bachelor's program in Physician Assistant lasts seven semesters, always starts in the winter semester, and does not require prior training. It is aimed at people who want to understand medical processes and support doctors in diagnostics, clinical practice, and teamwork. The university describes the program as practice-oriented and highlights the skills lab, modern facilities, and small groups. This combination of medical relevance, practical training, and direct application at the university makes Physician Assistant one of the most visible search topics. It is also important for interested parties: The application is made directly to TH Aschaffenburg, not through a preliminary training program. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/vor-dem-studium/studiengaenge-von-a-z/physician-assistant))
Social Work is also a clearly defined bachelor's program at TH Aschaffenburg. It comprises 210 ECTS, seven semesters, and a practical semester in the fifth semester, starts in the winter semester, and is described as a German-language full-time study program. The university emphasizes teamwork with various professional groups, a focus on scientifically grounded practice, and the connection of help, counseling, and social responsibility. The official recognition is particularly relevant: TH Aschaffenburg states that the degree meets the requirements of the Bavarian Social Professions Recognition Act and that graduates may use the professional title of State-recognized Social Pedagogue. This makes the program very interesting for inquiries regarding social work, applications, and master's programs, especially in the context of career prospects. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/vor-dem-studium/studiengaenge-von-a-z/soziale-arbeit/?utm_source=openai))
Business Psychology is visible at TH Aschaffenburg in both bachelor's and master's programs. The bachelor's program is restricted in admission and is one of the programs for which registration via hochschulstart.de is necessary. The master's program builds on this and expands competencies in areas such as marketing, personnel, leadership, digitalization, transformation management, consulting, data analysis, and project management. The university also mentions the connection between economic, psychological, and technological issues as well as the pathway to the master's program. Because both bachelor's and master's programs exist, Business Psychology is a strong keyword for prospective students looking for a combination of management, behavior, and data orientation. In connection with TH Aschaffenburg, there are also short distances, small groups, and practical relevance, which are emphasized in all other degree programs as well. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/studium/vor-dem-studium/studiengaenge-von-a-z/wirtschaftspsychologie-msc/?utm_source=openai))
Campus, Library, and Learning Location Miltenberg
The campus of TH Aschaffenburg is more than just an address. The university describes it as attractive, green, and characterized by a mix of historical and modern buildings. At the center is the campus meadow, which is used as a recreational and learning area in the summer. The infrastructure includes a cafeteria and dining hall; the dining hall offers three daily meal options, always including a vegetarian option, and both facilities together accommodate 200 people. Additionally, there is a bicycle area with a repair station directly at the campus meadow. For many inquiries regarding campus, access, and parking, this is relevant because the university not only meets academic but also everyday practical needs. The atmosphere is described on the pages as friendly, familial, and short-distance, and this mix is an important part of the university's image. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/die-th-aschaffenburg/campus/))
The access is also clearly documented. Campus 1 is located at Würzburger Straße 45 in Aschaffenburg; Campus 2 has the visiting address Würzburger Straße 164. The university can be reached by train via Aschaffenburg main station, which is an IC stop. From there, regional trains and buses go to the university stop. The university lists several bus lines, including 5, 15, 40, 41, 47, and 63. By car, access is via Flachstraße, and there is a parking garage with 445 spaces in Flachstraße, including electric charging stations, for university members; access is only permitted with authorization, and on certain event days, it is also open to visitors. For Campus 2, the university explicitly points out to park only in designated parking areas. This is a practical point for inquiries about parking and access, as the university provides very concrete data instead of general hints. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/die-th-aschaffenburg/campus/))
The learning location in Miltenberg complements this profile in a special way. On the campus page, TH Aschaffenburg mentions the university learning location Miltenberg with the visiting address Gartenstraße 21, 63897 Miltenberg. There, primarily students of the bachelor's program in SME Management study, and the university refers to the Campus-Miltenberg blog as well as the blended learning format. In further official information, it is stated that the learning location is approximately 40 kilometers from Aschaffenburg and is accessible by train and bus. For many interested parties, this is a real distinguishing feature because TH Aschaffenburg thus offers not only a main campus but also a specialized learning location in the region. Especially for inquiries with Miltenberg, master's programs, or part-time formats, this second location is a strong argument. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/die-th-aschaffenburg/campus/))
Another central component is the TH Library. It sees itself as a central service facility for literature and information supply, as a partner for study, teaching, and research, and as a learning place with a well-equipped working environment. The library is open not only to university members but also to students and all interested parties. The current collection includes around 31,000 volumes, 60 continuously held journals, as well as tens of thousands of e-books, e-papers, and e-journals. Additionally, the library states on the student page that the CampusCard serves as a library card and that use is generally free of charge. Therefore, those entering 'library' as a search term are not just looking for a mere loan but for a real learning center on campus. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/organisation/organisationseinheiten/bibliothek/ueber-uns/))
Job Offers, Logo, and Image Photos
For inquiries regarding job offers, logos, and photos, TH Aschaffenburg also provides clear official points of contact. The university is a public institution and is subject to TV-L. On the employer page, it highlights, in addition to collective agreement binding, 30 days of vacation, special leave, Christmas bonuses, regular salary scales, company pension schemes, mobile working, flexible working hours, and flextime. Additional benefits include job (e-)bikes, discounted cafeteria meals, free parking for employees and students, discounts on the VAB subscription ticket, free university sports, and family-friendly offers. Since 2006, TH Aschaffenburg has been certified as a family-friendly university. This combination of public duty, family-friendliness, and modern work organization makes the university interesting as an employer. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/die-th-aschaffenburg/arbeiten-an-der-th-ab/))
The job offers themselves are bundled on a dedicated university page. There, categories such as professorships, teaching assignments, staff, and student assistants can be found. This is important for applicants because TH AB not only offers something for students but also creates clearly structured entry points for academic and non-academic employment. Additionally, the university mentions a stable infrastructure for career, development, and internal support on the pages about working at TH AB and university communication. Therefore, those searching for job offers do not land on a general job overview but at a university with clearly defined roles and service areas. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/die-th-aschaffenburg/arbeiten-an-der-th-ab/stellenangebote?utm_source=openai))
For logos and image photos, there is also an official route. On the marketing page, it states that the logo of TH Aschaffenburg should be requested via email through the marketing function address and that image photos of the university can also be provided upon request. The public relations page adds that image material for publication can be requested via presse@th-ab.de. This makes it clear for editorial, social media, study counseling, and external partners where current material comes from. This clear structure is also useful for inquiries like logos and photos because it not only shows that materials exist but also how to obtain them officially. Therefore, those using the university for journalistic, editorial, or external communication will find a clearly regulated process instead of an open image search. ([th-ab.de](https://www.th-ab.de/hochschule/organisation/organisationseinheiten/marketing))
In the overall view, the Technical University of Aschaffenburg appears as a university that communicates its strengths very clearly: practice-oriented degree programs, manageable groups, a green campus, a second learning location in Miltenberg, a powerful library, and concrete contacts for applications, communication, and careers. For prospective students, this is an advantage because many questions are already answered on the official pages before the first contact is made. Therefore, those searching for degree programs, applications, libraries, master's programs, Miltenberg, or job offers will receive a very direct and well-structured information base at TH Aschaffenburg.
My program is entirely in English but they demand German A1 at the time of enrollment. I've just wasted my time by applying to this university.

I remember this building as I was living in it in 1971 with Co A 9th Combat Eng Bn as an E5. I hated every moment there and that was only July '71 to January '72. I recall gearing up for some Red Flag exercise, driving all around Germany in a deuce and a half and sleeping in the snow on a couple of bitter cold nights! Also recall building a pontoon bridge across the Mein whilst river barge traffic was backed up for miles, took hours.

I don't know how to express my words towards this university, this town, and the people around there. This is one of the best experiences in my life to study there, to live there, and to communicate with everyone there. The people are the best, the university is the most perfect environment to study, to learn, and to graduate. I love the faculty there and of course I will miss that place a lot in my whole life. I would love to go again, and I love to live there and want to be a part of it again in my life.

Historical point of interest: This building first served as German Army Barracks dating from WWI era, then as a US Army Kaserne after WWII. I lived in this building in the 1960's with Company A, 9th Combat Engr BN.
