Arrival and Parking at Konventchen: Theater Parking Garage, Löhergraben and Value Parking Check

The location on Stiftsgasse in the traffic-calmed old town means short distances on foot and a stress-free arrival. Those arriving by train benefit from the ICE stop at Aschaffenburg main station; from there, it's just a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk into the old town. Drivers are given a clear recommendation: park at the Theater parking garage at Dalbergstraße 18, about 300 meters from Konventchen. Alternatively, the Löhergraben parking garage at Löhrerstraße 21 is available. Particularly convenient is the specially offered value parking check. This service can be added when reserving; the parking fees of 12.00 euros per 24 hours are then directly integrated into the hotel bill, and the value parking check serves as payment upon exit. The check is valid for public city parking spaces, allowing maximum flexibility. For days with higher occupancy in the city center, it is advisable to reserve the value parking check in advance. Those looking for alternatives will find additional large parking options in Aschaffenburg, such as in the City Gallery parking garage. Thanks to the good signage of the downtown parking garages, orientation is easy, and with short walking distances, handling luggage remains relaxed. It is recommended to park the car before entering the narrow old town alleys and walk the few minutes to the reception; this avoids unnecessary maneuvering. The arrival via the A3 is particularly convenient from the direction of Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main area; the exits are well connected to the city center. Those arriving in an electric car can find information about available charging points through the city's parking guidance system and the municipal utilities. Since the reception is staffed Monday to Friday afternoons, arrival can be well-timed; for earlier or later times, a short call about 30 minutes before arrival is sufficient to ensure everything is prepared. For weekend arrivals, individual arrangements in advance are recommended. This structured process, combined with the short distances from the parking garage, ensures that guests can quickly immerse themselves in the cozy tranquility of the house.

Address Stiftsgasse 13 and Surroundings: Basilica, Castle, and Pompejanum

Stiftsgasse runs through the historic upper town and passes by the significant St. Peter and Alexander Basilica. The church has held the rank of Basilica minor since 1958 and houses valuable art treasures, some of which are presented in the city's Stiftsmuseum. From the Stiftsbasilika, it is just a few steps to the imposing Johannisburg Castle, which was built between 1605 and 1614 and shapes the cityscape with its location above the Main. The castle was closely linked to the Electorate of Mainz for centuries and later served as a summer residence for Bavarian kings. These historical highlights are so close together that a walk from Konventchen effortlessly connects several stations. North of the castle, on the high bank of the Main, rises the Pompejanum, an idealized replica of a Roman city villa, which King Ludwig I commissioned to be built in the 1840s based on plans by Friedrich von Gärtner. The surrounding garden tells its own story with Mediterranean plantings and gives the riverscape a southern flair. All of this makes the location of Konventchen extremely appealing for culture enthusiasts. Those wanting to experience the city and architecture might start the day in the basilica, move on to the castle with its collections and exhibitions, and enjoy the view from the Pompejanum over the Main in the afternoon. Back in the old town, restaurants, wine bars, and cafés await. Additionally, contemporary cultural institutions can be easily integrated, such as the art gallery in the Jesuit church or the city theater. Due to the central location of Konventchen, no car is needed for this; the distances are short and pleasant, often through alleys with half-timbered houses and historic cloisters. Those who enjoy walking can extend the route to the Main promenade or the Schöntal park. Thus, Konventchen serves as an ideal starting point to experience Aschaffenburg's mix of history, culture, and vibrant present directly.

Service, Check-in, Cancellation, and House Rules

To ensure that the stay is planned and relaxed, Konventchen communicates the most important details transparently. The reception is located in the building at Stiftsgasse 13 and is staffed Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM. Those wishing to arrive earlier or depart later can optionally book early check-in from 12:00 PM or late check-out until 2:00 PM for 30.00 euros each; on weekends, times are arranged individually. The cancellation conditions are regulated in the general terms and conditions: for individual bookings, a cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before arrival. If the cancellation occurs later, a fee applies; in case of no-show, 100 percent will be charged. Special deadlines apply for group bookings of four or more rooms. Regarding house rules, a clear non-smoking policy is in place. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms; in case of violations, the house imposes a flat cleaning and damage compensation fee. Pets are not allowed, which is particularly beneficial for allergy sufferers. Safety and order are complemented by a clear key policy. Payments can be made by EC card as well as with the common credit cards Master and Visa. Those booking through third-party portals should make changes and cancellations directly there. For all guests, direct contact is worthwhile, as the team can quickly provide information on special requests, allergies, or special occasions. The service concept is also reflected in parking: with the optional value parking check, 12.00 euros per 24 hours are conveniently billed through the hotel bill, eliminating the need to search for change in the parking garage. For questions, the team can be reached at 06021 219478, and emails can be sent to the central address. Practical tips for the old town, running routes, or restaurants are also gladly provided; if desired, a small route to the basilica, castle, and riverside can be arranged. This mix of clear rules, flexible options, and personal communication creates a service profile that aligns with the design aspirations of the house: reduced, high-quality, and focused on the essentials.

Alternatively, the Löhergraben parking garage at Löhrerstraße 21 offers suitable parking spaces. The value parking check from Konventchen makes parking predictable; it is valid for city parking spaces and costs 12.00 euros per 24 hours. For those needing alternatives, the large City Gallery parking garage is also accessible outside of center opening hours. General information about parking garages and rates is provided by the municipal company; this allows for checking available parking spaces on a daily basis. Even in bad weather, the walking distance from the Theater parking garage to Konventchen remains manageable. For day trips in the region, it is advisable to leave the car in the parking garage and return in the evening; this avoids the search for new parking spaces. I always had a great time here. Have stayed multiple times. This time the fireplace in suite Liz did not work due to broken glass. While that's not the end of the world, I felt it would have been nice to be notified ahead of time and receive a discount for my stay. Location of this hotel and employees are great.

Perfect location in very historic old town in Aschaffenburg. The staff were superb dealing with me and my colleagues with limited German. The breakfast was lovely, and the rooms, omg, beautifully decorated and themed. Going to come back with the Mrs in the summer.

A beautifully renovated one bedroom unit with sofa bed, sauna, full luxury bathroom and additional toilet and shower. There is also a small kitchen with mini fridge and stove top as well as a gorgeous balcony. The unit is located in the old part of town, close to the castle, river and centre of town. The owner speaks fluent English and is very welcoming. Highly recommend this as a location to explore Aschaffenburg and surrounds.

Breakfast was absolutely good. They didn’t offer Ham and Eggs, so I didn’t ask for it. Parking is not that easy in this region, but there’s a car park building nearby. My room was perfectly cleaned. The night wasn’t cheap, but worth it.
