Photos and first impressions of the library center
The visual impression is particularly important at the library center because many inquiries specifically target this: photos, atmosphere, and a first look at the rooms. The official page of the district of Aschaffenburg features several images, including the lending desk, the exterior view from the playground, and the children's area. This selection makes it clear that the building is designed not only functionally but also in a friendly and inviting manner. The photos tell of a place where orientation is easy and where one can quickly find their way around. This is especially helpful for families and new visitors, as the first impression often determines whether a short visit turns into a regular place to stay. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The images also fit very well with the library's content orientation. A children's area signals that young readers are explicitly welcome. The lending desk stands for service and personal advice, while the exterior view provides a realistic impression of the architectural embedding. So, those looking for photos of the library center Hösbach are not just looking for a pretty building, but for security in planning: What does the place feel like? Is it friendly? Is it suitable for children? These questions are indirectly answered very well by the official images. Together with the clear service information, a coherent picture of a modern public library emerges, which not only provides media but also offers a quality place to stay. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Directions, address, and contact in Hösbach
The address of the library center is An der Maas 2, 63768 Hösbach. In the official district entries, it is assigned to the work area B3.3, and the contact details of the house are additionally provided on the detail page. The phone number 06021 394 2333 and the email address bibliothekszentrum@lra-ab.bayern.de make it easy to get in touch if you have questions about registration, media, or events. The fact that the district also provides its own detail page and an overarching library page shows how central the location is within the regional library network. This is practical for visitors from Hösbach itself and the surrounding municipalities, as many pieces of information are directly available online. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
From an SEO perspective, the location is also interesting because Hösbach, as a market municipality in the district of Aschaffenburg, plays an important role in the regional supply network. The district explicitly points out that, in addition to the library and information center in Hösbach, there is at least one library in all 32 district municipalities. This underscores that the library center is not isolated but part of a strong infrastructure for media access, reading promotion, and digital offerings. So, anyone searching for Hösbach, address, phone, or library center will land at a location that is relevant both locally and for the entire district. The offering is complemented by public visibility on the district website, the online catalog, and the digital lending options that engage visitors even before their first visit. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/index.php?FID=3984.35466.1&ModID=7&object=tx%7C3984.35466.1&utm_source=openai))
Opening hours, registration, and lending periods
The current opening hours are clearly structured and thus particularly user-friendly. On Mondays, the library center is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it is closed on Wednesdays, on Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This mix of morning, afternoon, and evening hours is ideal for families, working individuals, and students, as it makes multiple visits per week uncomplicated. The market Hösbach shows the same times in its library overview, which further confirms the reliability of the information. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
For registration, the following applies: A valid ID should be brought along, and children under 16 years need the signature of a legal guardian on the registration form. Personal registration is explicitly provided for, and after an introduction to the library, one receives a personal library card. The lending periods are also transparently regulated: books can be borrowed for four weeks, CDs, games, Nintendo games, Tonies, and magazines for two weeks, and DVDs for one week. Extensions are possible as long as the medium is not reserved, and borrowed media can be reserved free of charge. This clear structure is a real advantage for those who appreciate planning security and do not want to search for rules on-site. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The fee schedule is also straightforward. The annual fee is 12 euros, while children and teenagers under 18 years, as well as students and trainees with proof, are exempt. A reduced annual fee of 6 euros applies, among others, to ALG II recipients, social assistance recipients, eligible asylum seekers, and holders of certain volunteer or youth leader cards. Additionally, the library specifies concrete fees for DVDs, Nintendo games, replacement cards, interlibrary loans, copies, and late returns. This is valuable for SEO and user-friendliness, as the frequently searched topics of registration, lending periods, and costs are immediately answered. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Media collection, Wi-Fi, and digital offerings
The media collection of the library center is broad and aimed at different target groups. The official page lists over 9,000 specialized and non-fiction books, over 6,000 novels, 1,300 audiobooks, and around 800 DVDs and Blu-rays. In addition, there are daily newspapers and more than 50 magazines. The children's and youth section is particularly strong, with 7,800 children's and youth books, 1,800 children's CDs, 290 Tonies, 50 games, 260 children's films, and 210 Nintendo Switch games. This makes it clear that the library not only lends books but is also a versatile media place for media use in everyday life. Families find suitable material here just as adults do with non-fiction or entertainment literature. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Equally important are the digital and service-oriented offerings. Free Wi-Fi for personal devices is available, as well as interlibrary loan, online catalog, Franken Onleihe, and OverDrive. The district also describes the library as a place for knowledge transfer in the area of information and media competence. This is complemented by the Young Corner for teenagers and a classroom and work area on the upper floor. This sends a strong signal to all those looking for a quiet place to learn, a place to research, or a space for focused work. From a user perspective, the library center is thus much more than just a lending desk; it is a learning and gathering place with modern media access, digital supplements, and classic library culture all in one. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Events, reading promotion, and special offerings
Another focus of the library center is its event and reading promotion profile. The official district page currently displays several dates, including a reading fun event in May with reading dog Lola on May 7, 2026, an open game afternoon on May 19, 2026, and a reading with Anne Barns on June 14, 2026. This shows that the library offers not only lending but also encounters, playful learning, and cultural events. Such dates are particularly important for families and children because they emotionally charge the place and strengthen the library as an experiential space. So, those looking for events in Hösbach will find here not a static house but a lively meeting point with a regular program. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The annual reviews also demonstrate the significance of the house. For 2025, the district reported over 133,000 visitors to the library center and more than 141,000 loans from the analog collection; including digital media through Franken-Onleihe and OverDrive, more than 185,000 loans were counted. Such numbers speak for high acceptance and for an offering that is actually used in everyday life. Additionally, the repeated award of the quality seal Libraries - Partners of Schools underscores the role of the house in educational work. The library is thus not only a place to read but also a partner for schools, families, and regional cultural work. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/index.php?FID=3984.38285.1&ModID=7&object=tx%7C3984.38285.1&utm_source=openai))
This also explains why the library center is perceived so strongly in the district. It has been actively involved in regional reading promotion for years, for example, through the summer reading club, in which the library has participated since 2010, according to the district. Such initiatives primarily appeal to children and teenagers, who are introduced to books through activities, stamp books, reading motivation, and small events. The mix of regular events, reading fun, play offerings, and digital expansion is ideal for a public library because it covers different usage profiles. This is precisely where the special appeal of the location in Hösbach lies: it is simultaneously a service point, cultural venue, and learning space. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Service-und-Verwaltung/Ver%C3%B6ffentlichungen/Pressemitteilungen-und-Aktuelles/Bibliothekszentrum-f%C3%BCr-Sommerferien-Leseclub-fr%C3%BCher-geschlossen.php?FID=3984.37648.1&La=1&ModID=7&NavID=3984.12&aktuellesmtp=1&kat=3984.853&object=tx%2C3984.5.1&utm_source=openai))
Who particularly benefits from the library center
The library center is particularly suitable for families, students, frequent readers, and anyone looking for a well-organized media location in the district of Aschaffenburg. Families benefit from the children's area, the large collection of children's books, children's CDs, Tonies, and games, as well as the clear event offerings. Students find quiet working opportunities, Wi-Fi, current non-fiction books, and interlibrary loans. Adults, in turn, appreciate the novels, audiobooks, magazines, and the ability to easily reserve media or supplement through digital offerings. The structure of the house is thus very broadly established and seems tailored to different life situations. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
For the region, the library center also has an important supply function. The district emphasizes that, in addition to the location in Hösbach, there is at least one library in all 32 municipalities and that the houses are partly active in digital networks such as the Franken-Onleihe. This means: The library center is a central hub within a larger network. So, anyone interested in the library center Hösbach, photos, opening hours, registration, or current events is not just presented with a single institution but a well-integrated service component of the regional education and cultural infrastructure. This is precisely what makes the location so relevant for searches and so useful for visitors.
Great idea: Blind Day with a book. I can choose the topic and get a short summary. Then it gets exciting to see what's behind the wrapped book...

Very nicely furnished and everyone can find suitable reading material here. You can also work here great. However, you have to adhere to the usual rules in libraries. (I haven't experienced a library yet where I can just walk in with my bags) The staff is very nice, friendly, helpful, and competent.

Great selection of books at an absolutely fair price. My kids and I love browsing here, especially regularly attending the theater afternoons, and the small play area is also very popular with us. The staff is very friendly and happy to chat a bit when there's time. I absolutely cannot understand the negative review.

Actually a nice little library, but not a place of friendliness or quiet. Of course, it's a student library, but really all age groups are talking loudly, running around, or making noise. The staff seems indifferent, preferring to make private calls. Furthermore, there's a lack of courtesy from the staff. When I said good morning on the second floor, I was only told that I had to leave my bags downstairs. When I said that I would first unpack my materials, I received a contemptuous look and no further attention, not even when I was looking for books. Unfortunately, the library is not recommended for anyone who wants to accomplish something productively.

I've been here for many years, both privately and professionally. The library is very well organized, the staff is very helpful, friendly, and dedicated. I really appreciate the book boxes for the kindergarten and can only say: Thank you very much, you do a great job!
