Library Center Hösbach | Photos & Opening Hours
The library and information center of the district of Aschaffenburg in Hösbach is much more than a classic lending location. It is a regional meeting point for reading, learning, researching, and socializing, embedded in the school center at Maas and thus closely connected to the educational everyday life on site. The official district website already shows at first glance how versatile this place is: a lending desk, the exterior view from the playground, and the children's area convey a factual, friendly, and everyday impression. At the same time, the current usage figures prove that the library center plays an important role in the district. In 2025, over 133,000 visitors came to the house; including digital media, more than 185,000 loans were recorded. The library center is thus a lively cultural and learning place with a high reach in a region where the district supports at least one library in all 32 municipalities. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Those looking for photos will get an honest impression of the atmosphere on the official site: no staging, but a functional, friendly space with clear structures, a children's area, and a visible lending desk. These visual impressions match the content orientation of the house. The library center sees itself not only as a place for media distribution but also as a learning environment with information and media competence. The website also features a weekly media tip, and current notices are picked up in the district's environment via Instagram. This creates a modern appearance that combines digital visibility and practical usability. Especially for families, students, teachers, and people looking for a quiet working environment, the library center is immediately understandable and easy to categorize. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Photos and First Impression at the Library Center Hösbach
The photos on the official district website are particularly valuable for the first impression because they precisely show the character of the house. The lending desk, the exterior view of the library center from the playground, and the children's area can be seen. These three motifs already say a lot about the house: It is not an anonymous administrative space, but a library that is embedded in the everyday life of the school center and at the same time offers an inviting, clear orientation. The lending desk stands for service and advice, the exterior view makes the location in the playground area visible, and the children's area signals that younger visitors are explicitly considered. This interplay is important for a public library because it makes orientation, accessibility, and usability immediately visible. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Moreover, the library center in the district does not function solely as a distribution point but as a visible part of the educational infrastructure. This also explains why the images appear so sober yet inviting: They are not a marketing promise but a realistic view of the place. For those searching for photos of the library center Hösbach, impressions of the children's area, or a first visual impression, these motifs are particularly helpful. The website itself links the visual impression with practical information such as opening hours, registration conditions, loan periods, and events. This creates a coherent overall picture: Those who want to orient themselves in advance can already see in the images that the house is geared towards families, readers, students, and anyone who wants to work concentrated or discover media. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Additionally, the view of the place itself reinforces this impression. Hösbach lists the library center as a public library at the address An der Maas 2. The market Hösbach lists it together with other libraries and libraries in the municipality, thus confirming its local anchoring. So, anyone looking for photos and a quick categorization will find both: a visual profile on the district's website and a municipal confirmation on the Hösbach local page. Thus, a simple image impression becomes a clean, trustworthy overview of the location, function, and significance of the institution. ([hoesbach.de](https://www.hoesbach.de/leben-wohnen/buechereien-/-bibliotheken?utm_source=openai))
Opening Hours, Registration, and Loan Periods
For many visitors, practical data is crucial, and this is where the library center Hösbach is very clear. The regular opening hours are currently: Monday from 08:00 to 16:00, Tuesday from 13:00 to 19:00, Wednesday closed, Thursday from 08:00 to 19:00, and Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. The market Hösbach also includes these times in its overview, which further confirms the information. Anyone planning a visit can reliably orient themselves to these weekdays and especially has good opportunities for visits on Thursdays and Tuesday afternoons and evenings after school or work. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The registration is deliberately uncomplicated but not arbitrary. A valid ID is required for registration. Children under 16 years need the signature of a legal guardian on the registration form. Registration for the reading account should be submitted in person at the library center, and after an introduction to the library, one receives the personal library card there against signature. This process is clear, understandable, and practical: The house relies on personal introduction instead of a purely anonymous online process, which creates orientation especially for new users. At the same time, the process shows that the library center values responsible use and a clear assignment of media loans. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The fee structure is also transparent. The regular annual fee is 12.00 euros. Exempt from this are children and young people up to the age of 18, as well as students and trainees with valid proof. A reduced annual fee of 6.00 euros applies to ALG II recipients, social assistance recipients, eligible asylum seekers, and holders of the volunteer card and youth leader card. This tiering shows that access should remain as low-threshold as possible. This is a clear signal, especially for families, young people, and engaged individuals. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The loan periods are also clearly defined. Books can be borrowed for four weeks, while CDs, games, Nintendo games, Tonies, magazines, and DVDs are available for two weeks. An extension is possible via email, by phone, in person on-site, or even in the reading account, as long as the medium is not reserved. Reservations are free, and as soon as the media are available, one will be notified. This is particularly pleasant for regular users because the stock can be flexibly integrated into everyday life. The fees for late returns are also precisely regulated in the order, eliminating any uncertainties. Thus, the library center combines classic library logic with a modern, service-oriented process. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The usage regulations also make it clear that the house does not only rely on books but on a broad understanding of service. Copies and prints are charged at cost price, interlibrary loans are possible, and there are clear regulations for replacements, reminders, and media types. For those specifically looking for library center Hösbach opening hours, registration, or loan periods, this is crucial: The most important usage questions can be answered directly from the official information. This creates a transparent visiting framework that saves time on-site and builds trust. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Media Stock, WLAN, and Workspaces
The media offering of the library center is broad and tailored to different age groups and needs. The official site mentions more than 9,000 specialist and non-fiction books, over 6,000 novels, around 1,300 audiobooks, and about 800 DVD and Blu-ray titles. Additionally, there are daily newspapers and more than 50 magazines. For children and young people, there are 7,800 books, 1,800 children's CDs, 290 Tonies, 50 games, 260 children's films, and 210 Nintendo Switch games available. These numbers show that the house is not limited to a target group, but offers a genuine all-round offer for families, learners, media enthusiasts, and leisure readers. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Particularly noteworthy is how clearly the focus is placed on education and orientation. The library center explicitly names a meeting point for young people in the Young Corner as well as a classroom and workspace on the upper floor. Additionally, there is knowledge transfer in the area of information and media competence. This is very relevant for a municipal or district institution because the library not only manages media but actively promotes competencies. Therefore, anyone wanting to learn, research, or read in peace will find here more than just shelves and catalogs: There is a structured place for concentrated work and for independent media use. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Additionally, there is free WLAN access for personal devices. This point is central to today's library visit because many people work in parallel with smartphones, tablets, or laptops. Free WLAN makes the library center a practical place for homework, research, quiet work, or checking information on-site. Combined with the workspace on the upper floor, a usage scenario emerges that appeals to both students and professionals. The library is thus not only a lending location but also a functional learning space that sensibly combines digital and analog media. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The response to this offer is clearly visible in the district. The annual review of 2025 mentions over 133,000 visitors and more than 141,000 loans from the physical stock. Including digital media from the Franken-Onleihe and OverDrive, the total number was over 185,000 loans. Additionally, 3,211 new media were acquired and 1,877 were decommissioned. Such numbers prove that the stock is actively used and continuously maintained. Thus, the question about the library center media stock is clearly answered: It is not a static warehouse but a lively, regularly renewed offer with high demand. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/index.php?FID=3984.38285.1&ModID=7&object=tx%7C3984.38285.1&utm_source=openai))
For inquiries about library center Hösbach WLAN, media stock, or workspaces, it is therefore important: The house combines breadth, currency, and user-friendliness. Books, magazines, films, games, and digital offers are clearly linked together. The high visitor number in 2025 fits this: If a place of this size is used, it is obviously because it reliably meets practical needs. This is exactly what makes the special appeal of the library center. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Events, Reading Promotion, and School Cooperation
An essential part of the identity of the library center is the event and educational program. The official site regularly announces events at the library center in Hösbach, including reading fun with reading dog Lola, readings, and other formats. An event from June 2026 is titled Reading Fun in June with Reading Dog Lola; another reading fun with reading dog Lola is announced for July 2026. Additionally, a reading with Anne Barns was offered in June 2026 at the library café of the library center. This clearly shows that the institution not only provides media but also actively organizes cultural and literary encounters. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
There are also formats that go beyond individual readings. The district reported in March 2026 about a visit from the successful author Jan Costin Wagner at the library center in Hösbach. In the fall of 2024 and subsequently, a contribution to the summer reading club was published, in which the library center has been participating since 2010. The initiative is aimed at young people between the ages of ten and 14 and aims to strengthen the joy of reading. The fact that the program has been running for many years is a strong sign of continuity in reading promotion. This is not about short-term actions but about sustainable educational work that is anchored in the district. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/index.php?FID=3984.38042.1&ModID=7&object=tx%7C3984.38042.1&utm_source=openai))
Particularly interesting is the connection to schools. The library center has again been awarded the quality seal Libraries Partner of Schools. The district recorded 265 class visits to the library in 2025 alone, as well as 57 events with and in schools. Further figures from the annual review of 2025 demonstrate the breadth of cooperation: 23 class tours, 18 research or teaching formats, 13 training sessions on information competence for W-seminars, 43 media boxes for schools and kindergartens, and 222 interlibrary loans for scientific work. This is a very strong sign that the library is not only a leisure and family place but also a real educational partner for the district. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/index.php?FID=3984.36961.1&ModID=7&object=tx%7C3984.36961.1&utm_source=openai))
From an SEO perspective, this interplay is important because the search intentions around the library center are not only aimed at opening hours or photos but often lead to programs, events, school cooperations, and learning offers. Those searching for library center Hösbach events or library center reading promotion expect concrete, current, and reliable information. The available information meets this expectation very well: There are regular reading offers, author readings, seasonal actions like the summer reading club, and a demonstrably close cooperation with schools. This makes the house a place where literature, education, and community come together in a practical form. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
The content range of the events is also remarkable. The offerings range from picture book cinema and crafting to readings with well-known names and actions that promote a playful approach to reading. This is particularly attractive for families and children because the library not only offers quiet reading rooms but also low-threshold, lively formats. The library thus positions itself as a cultural anchor point in the school center Hösbach, combining classic media work with contemporary event work. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/Erleben-und-Genie%C3%83%C2%9Fen/Bibliothekszentrum/))
Location, Directions, and Parking at the School Center An der Maas
The address of the library center is An der Maas 2, 63768 Hösbach. This location is practical and easy to categorize because it is located directly in the school center. The market Hösbach explicitly lists the library on its page of libraries under this address. This is particularly helpful for visitors because it makes orientation in the local area clear. Anyone coming from the municipality or the district will find the library center not in an anonymous outskirts but in the middle of an educational and school environment that many people already know from everyday life. ([hoesbach.de](https://www.hoesbach.de/leben-wohnen/buechereien-/-bibliotheken?utm_source=openai))
There are also clear indications for parking. The market Hösbach mentions additional parking options directly at An der Maas at the school center Hösbach. This is an important practical advantage because library visits are often combined with short distances, strollers, school routes, or connections to other appointments. Therefore, anyone visiting the library center benefits from a location that facilitates access. The municipal parking overview also shows that Hösbach has several options, including the underground garage under the marketplace and other free areas in the town center. However, for the direct way to the library, the mention of parking spaces at the school center is particularly relevant. ([hoesbach.de](https://www.hoesbach.de/rathaus-service/aktuelles-rueckblick/parken-in-hoesbach?utm_source=openai))
The regional integration goes even further. The district of Aschaffenburg emphasizes that there is at least one library in all 32 district municipalities and that the library center in Hösbach plays a central role in the network of municipal libraries. Together with the good accessibility and the school environment, this creates a location profile that explains the practical utility of the institution. Therefore, anyone looking for library center Hösbach directions or library center Hösbach parking does not receive an abstract answer but a very concrete local reference: address at Maas, parking at the school center, anchoring in the educational sector, and connection to the district's library network. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/index.php?FID=3984.35466.1&ModID=7&object=tx%7C3984.35466.1&utm_source=openai))
Especially for families and school classes, this location is ideal. The library works closely with the school center, and its offerings are embedded in the everyday life of schools and kindergartens. This means: The location is not only geographically sensible but also thematically relevant. Media boxes, class visits, information competence, and reading promotion can be bundled directly at a place that is frequented by many young people. Thus, an address becomes a real learning place with high everyday usability. ([landkreis-aschaffenburg.de](https://www.landkreis-aschaffenburg.de/PDF/Jahresr%C3%BCckblick_Bibliothekszentrum_H%C3%B6sbach_2025.PDF?Ext=PDF&ObjID=2619&ObjLa=1&ObjSvrID=3984&WTR=1&_ts=1770288744&utm_source=openai))
So, anyone searching for photos, opening hours, directions, or parking will find at the library center Hösbach an institution with a clear structure and very good regional integration. The official website, the municipal library overview, and the current press and event notices together create a coherent picture: a modern, well-utilizable, education-oriented library center that plays an important role in the district of Aschaffenburg and at the same time serves as a visible point of contact for culture, knowledge, and encounters in Hösbach itself.
Great idea: Blind Day with a book. I can choose the topic and get a short summary. Then it gets exciting to see what's behind the wrapped book...

Very nicely decorated and everyone can find suitable reading material here. You can also work here great. However, you have to stick to the usual rules in libraries. (I haven't experienced a library yet where I can just walk in with my bags) The staff is very nice, friendly, helpful, and competent.

Great selection of books at an absolutely fair price. My kids and I love browsing here, especially regularly attending the theater afternoons, and the little play area is very popular with us. The staff is very friendly and enjoys a short chat when there's time. I absolutely can't understand the negative review.

Actually a nice little library, but not a place of friendliness or quiet. Of course, it's a student library, but really all age groups are talking loudly, running around, or making noise. The staff seems indifferent, preferring to make private calls. Furthermore, there's a lack of courtesy from the staff. When I said good morning on the second floor, I was only told that I had to leave my bags downstairs. When I said I would unpack my materials first, I got a disdainful look and no further attention, not even when I was looking for books. Unfortunately, this library is not recommended for anyone who wants to be productive.
