Berghof Schöllkrippen | Farm Shop & Cheese Dairy

The Berghof in Schöllkrippen is an established organic farm on the outskirts of the village that combines agriculture, processing, and sales in one place. The official website describes the farm as a home in the Vorspessart; the Schudt and Schmelz families work here with ecological commitment and a lot of manual labor. Therefore, visitors to the Berghof encounter not just a farm shop, but a real agricultural operation with its own cheese dairy, direct marketing, catering service, and experiential offerings. This combination makes the location exciting for connoisseurs, families, groups, and regionally interested visitors. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/))

The surrounding area also fits the character of the farm: The Berghof is located on a hill at the edge of Schöllkrippen, surrounded by hills, meadows, and pastures. This location not only shapes the atmosphere but also the content of the farm. The feed comes from the farm's own agriculture, the animals live in a nature-oriented system, and products are created from the milk that can be experienced directly in the farm shop or at events. From an SEO perspective, this is a strong combination of local relevance, product relevance, and experiential relevance. Farm Shop and Direct Marketing in Kahlgrund

The farm shop is often the first and most important point of contact for many visitors to the Berghof. Here, the direct marketing of the farm's own products begins, and that's why a closer look at the range is worthwhile. The shop offers goat cheese, fresh goat milk, cow's milk cheese from smaller farm dairies, organic beef from the farm, kid meat and veal available by pre-order, sausage and ham specialties, eggs, seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as delicatessen items. The assortment is supplemented by oils, spices, teas, cosmetics, and other selected items. Not every product is certified organic, but the farm clearly emphasizes the quality, its own signature, and the regional origin of many goods. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/einkaufen/))

This mix is particularly practical for visitors because the Berghof not only sells but also advises. Those who want to assemble a cheese platter receive expert assistance. Those who need larger quantities can pre-order. Those who shop spontaneously can also pay by card according to the website. These are small but very relevant details for user intent behind searches like farm shop, opening hours, shopping, or contact. Additionally, the farm shop is not a detached sales area but remains embedded in the farm world: A purchase can be combined with a look into the barn or a stroll through the vegetable garden. This creates an authentic, approachable shopping experience that is often missing in many traditional stores. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/einkaufen/))

The opening hours are clearly communicated. The official website states that Thursday and Friday are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This makes planning easy, especially for weekend visits to Kahlgrund. At the same time, the online presence shows that the Berghof lives seasonally and responds to demand. This fits with a farm shop that is not only defined by opening hours but by freshness, availability, and the products of the day. For SEO and local intent, this is a strong point: Those searching for Berghof, shopping, farm shop, or direct marketing receive a clear, tangible answer here. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/))

Goat Cheese Manufacture and Organic Agriculture

The heart of the Berghof is the goat cheese manufacture. The Handcrafted page describes very vividly how fresh organic goat milk is first heated, then coagulated with lactic acid bacteria and rennet, and subsequently processed into curd. This is followed by draining, shaping, salting, and aging. This artisanal chain is not just marketing embellishment but the core of the operation. The Berghof demonstrates how independent products are created from its own milk, differing in texture, ripeness, and character. The range includes fresh goat milk, fresh cheese, soft cheese, semi-hard cheese, smoked varieties, and spicy specialties. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/handgemacht/))

The connection between animal husbandry and product quality is particularly strong. According to the official website, 180 mother animals live on the farm, which are milked twice a day. The goats have free-range access, climbing rocks, and a generously designed barn with elevated lying areas. The young animals are kept in groups, and three male goats ensure offspring. The cattle herd is also part of the system: Limousin mother cows graze on fields at the edge of the forest and in the Kahlauen, while the young cattle live outdoors from April to October. This shows that the Berghof not only produces cheese but understands agriculture as an interconnected system. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/daheim/))

The ecological orientation is clear. The Berghof operates according to Naturland guidelines and describes arable farming, crop rotation, and animal husbandry as closely intertwined. Grains, legumes, sugar beets, and clover grass grow in the fields; the meadows provide feed for cattle and goats. The animals are fed with their own feed and bedding. This form of circular economy is important for external representation because it makes the quality of the products traceable. Those searching today for Berghof organic, goat cheese, farm shop, or cheese dairy will find here not an interchangeable brand but a clearly described, credible operation with a genuine signature. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/daheim/))

Catering Service for Parties, Celebrations, and Regional Cuisine

The catering service is another area that clearly distinguishes the Berghof from a pure sales operation. On the website Culinary Delights, the farm describes that it wants to pamper guests with culinary delights, from menu planning to new ideas for organizing a celebration, as well as providing suitable equipment, staff, and, if necessary, the right venues. This means: The Berghof not only delivers food but can also act as a culinary partner for parties and events. For searches related to catering service, catering, or celebrations, this is particularly valuable because the operation offers a concrete, relevant service. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/gaumenfreuden/))

The focus is clearly regional and down-to-earth. The farm emphasizes that it prefers to use products from its own organic agriculture. Additionally, regional products, fully ripe harvested vegetables, fresh herbs from the vegetable garden, and dishes from the regional country kitchen are included. At the same time, the kitchen is flexible: There are small, casual parties with handy delicacies as well as concepts where cooking takes place on-site. Vegetarian dishes are also explicitly part of the offering. This mix of regionality, craftsmanship, and adaptability is a strong selling point and increases the relevance of the Berghof for private celebrations, club festivities, and larger occasions. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/gaumenfreuden/))

Moreover, there is a personal level. Monika Schudt emphasizes on the page that a celebration with the catering service should become an unforgettable event, just as one would host their own guests. This attitude is important because it emotionally charges the offering without appearing exaggerated. For SEO content, this is ideal: The keyword catering service gains real significance here, connecting with farm, quality, organic products, and personal care. Thus, the Berghof is not only a place to buy or visit but also a place for moments of enjoyment that range from the kitchen to table culture. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/gaumenfreuden/))

Cheese School and Hands-On Experiences on the Farm

A particularly charming part of the Berghof is the cheese school. Here, it is not just about theoretical knowledge but about active participation. The website describes that guests make cheese with the farm's cheesemaker, stirring, cutting, skimming, and experiencing the entire process with humor and practical relevance. Milk is provided for each person, and the whole experience is accompanied by tastings and suitable drinks. Such offerings are particularly interesting for groups, friend circles, corporate teams, or gift ideas because they not only inform but create a shared experience. The cheese school is thus a true unique selling point of the Berghof. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/erleben/))

The hands-on logic is clearly designed for experiencing and learning. The farm does not just want to show how cheese is made but to draw visitors into the subject matter. This concept fits perfectly with an operation that already works with its own milk, its own processing, and its own marketing. This creates a seamless transition between production and communication. The Berghof can thus impress on both the product level and the experience level. This is valuable for searches like cheese school, making cheese yourself, experiencing Berghof, or group offerings because the content clearly responds to real user intent. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/erleben/))

The organizational side is also practically thought out. The cheese school can be individually requested for groups, and the farm can tailor the program accordingly. Additionally, the Berghof offers vouchers upon request. For visitors, this is a nice extra because a visit to the farm can quickly turn into a gift, a group outing, or a special occasion. The Berghof shows that experiential offerings in the countryside do not have to be complicated. They are developed directly from farm life and thus remain credible, approachable, and pleasantly personal. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/erleben/))

Goat Festival, Farm Tours, and Farm Culture

The goat festival is the major event in the annual cycle of the Berghof. The homepage announces a celebration on September 20, 2026, marking the farm's 20th anniversary as an organic operation. Planned are live music, farm tours, and everything that belongs to a lively farm day. The experience page describes the festival even more concretely: morning pint with the Kahlgrund musicians, activities for children, farm rally, face painting stand, market stalls, pizza from the oven, and an evening with Bavarian-Cuban rhythms. This is more than an ordinary farm festival, as agriculture is staged as a cultural and meeting place. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/))

The festival is also exciting because it showcases the farm in its entirety. There are tours that tell about the work as an organic farmer, food from the farm and field, offerings for meat lovers and vegans, as well as opportunities to taste and shop. Thus, the Berghof becomes a showcase of its entire philosophy at a single event: regional, artisanal, familial, and open to visitors. Such events are particularly relevant for searches like goat festival, farm festival, experiencing Berghof, or events in Kahlgrund because they connect a clear occasion with date and content. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/erleben/))

Farm culture also includes the public perception of the operation. The Berghof was featured in the 2011 show Landfrauenküche, and the website emphasizes that friendly connections have remained since then. Additionally, the farm trains in the professions of farmer and housekeeper and offers internships in various areas, such as milk processing. This shows that the Berghof not only sells products but also imparts knowledge and brings people into agricultural practice. For SEO, this is a strong signal because it connects the themes of history, experience, education, and regional identity. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/erleben/))

Opening Hours, Contact, and Practical Visitor Information

Those wishing to visit the Berghof will find the most important information clearly communicated. The address is Im Langenborn 8 in 63825 Schöllkrippen, phone contact is available at 06024 9233, and the farm can be reached via email at info@derberghof.de. The official website states that the farm shop's opening hours are Thursday and Friday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is very helpful for planning a visit, as shopping, farm tours, and possibly an experiential offering can be well combined. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/))

There are also practical advantages: Card payment is possible, larger quantities can be pre-ordered, and the farm points out that visitors are welcome to receive advice while shopping. This is especially interesting for customers looking for a cheese platter, gift baskets, or special products for a celebration. Additionally, the official website shows that the farm shop and the experiential offerings do not function separately but are intended as part of a farm system. This makes the Berghof particularly strong for local search queries: Visitors find here not just a product but a complete, coherent farm visit. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/einkaufen/))

The origin of the operation is also clearly stated. The Berghof operates according to Naturland guidelines, describes itself as an ecologically operating farm, and places great importance on self-produced feed, barn manure cycles, and sustainable soil cultivation. These facts are important for users who are specifically searching for organic farm, Naturland, direct marketing, or sustainable agriculture. Together with its location on the outskirts of Schöllkrippen, a complete picture emerges: a real farm, real products, real people, and real reasons to visit. This fulfills exactly the kind of search intent that works best for local SEO texts. ([naturland.de](https://www.naturland.de/de/naturland/wo-wir-sind/einkauf/1125-alfred-schmelz-wolfgang-schudt-gbr.html))

History, Family, and Regional Identity

The Berghof thrives on its family structure. The pages of the farm make it clear that production is not anonymous here, but that family, team, and farm life are closely connected. Monika Schudt describes the cohesion, innovative spirit, and enthusiasm as the driving forces of the operation. At the same time, the farm refers to its home in Kahlgrund, the surrounding meadows and fields, and the commitment to place nature at the center of its actions. This is not an interchangeable image but a defining part of the identity of the operation. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/daheim/))

The development of the farm is also interesting. According to the official website, colorful German Edel goats came to the farm in 1999 and have since shaped the farm's history. Today, it has become a versatile organic farm with a cheese dairy, farm shop, direct marketing, and experiential offerings. Additionally, training is provided in agricultural and domestic areas. This shows that the Berghof not only focuses on the present and marketing but also on the future and knowledge transfer. For content related to Schöllkrippen, Berghof, organic farm, and regional production, this is a strong, credible basis. ([derberghof.de](https://www.derberghof.de/handgemacht/))

The regional integration rounds out the profile. The Berghof is anchored in Kahlgrund, located on the edge of Schöllkrippen, and sees itself as a place where soil, animals, people, and products belong together. This anchoring makes it attractive for search engines as well as for real visitors. Those searching for farm shop, cheese dairy, direct marketing, catering service, or cheese school will find here an offering that is not only click-strong but also substantively robust. The Berghof connects tradition and present, enjoyment and craftsmanship, everyday life and experience in a form that is particularly valuable for local SEO. I've been coming to this store for over twenty years and I can really only recommend it warmly. For me, this is the best organic store in all of Germany. You can find everything your heart desires here – from goat cheese and goat milk to fresh fruits, vegetables, and many other high-quality products. I especially want to highlight the owner Monika, who is incredibly friendly and helpful. When I write her an email, everything is always perfectly prepared so I can conveniently pick up my order. The entire staff is always very attentive and exceptionally friendly. An all-around great store with excellent service – I always love coming back!

Very well-kept goat farm, nice hostess. We were there in a group to make goat cheese, highly recommend it, learned a lot about cheese and got to take the homemade cheese home. Very tasty and super easy. It's something different and definitely worth recommending.

We had the pleasure of visiting the farm festival at this impressive organic farm again today, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was simply excellent, and the farm tour offered us interesting insights into sustainable agriculture. We were particularly impressed by the opportunity for the children to make goat cheese themselves. The instruction from the cheesemaker was excellent - she explained everything very clearly and in a child-friendly way, and you could feel her enthusiasm for her profession. A little tasting with explanations was also included. Another highlight for the kids was definitely the face painting and crafting, but we adults also had a lot of fun watching and listening. The stables were very nice and well-kept, and it was great to visit the new building for cheese processing. What’s particularly impressive is that the goat milk is completely processed on the farm. Overall, our visit to the mountain farm was a fantastic experience that we can recommend to anyone interested in sustainable agriculture and artisanal food production. We will definitely come back!
